→ Kent Fine Art
Kent Fine Art is a partner gallery representing a significant group of paintings by Teruko Yokoi, including important works from her early New York and Bern periods. Through its director, Doug Walla, the gallery has played a meaningful role in presenting Yokoi’s work to collectors and institutions, particularly in the United States.
The Estate of Teruko Yokoi began working with Doug Walla in 2023, during his tenure as Chief Executive Officer of Marlborough Gallery, where he curated the artist’s first major retrospective exhibition in the United States. Following the closure of Marlborough Gallery, this relationship continued at Kent Fine Art.
Through exhibitions and long-term stewardship of key works, Kent Fine Art has contributed to renewed scholarly and institutional attention to Yokoi’s early abstraction and her position within postwar artistic exchanges between the United States and Europe.
